;For the ATV JLA-05 battery could not be charged, We just do this plan for the custom as reference.

As we know,the whole charge range,it is from the engine magneto stator to voltage regulator to battery.

So the problem was maybe was happened on engine stator or voltage regulater or battery or main

wiring harmess.

1. We do a test for engine magneto stator test,to confirm if the engine out put voltage is above 12V.

2. test way:start the ATV,we use multimeter pen to link yellow line(+) and green line(-),Note:

please don’tremove the stator plug from the main wiring harmess.And plesase put the multimeter to AC.

So we get the result.

a) if lower 11V,so the stator has problem.

b) if no,the stator is good.

3. Then we do the test on battery.Confirm if the battory could be charged.

Put one battery on the ATV,the battery is lower 10V.and link on the ATV,do not start the ATV now,check

the battery voltage 1 and keep it.Then start the ATV,after 5 mins,we check the voltage voltage 2.

a) if 2 voltage lower than 1 voltage,the voltage regulator is bad.

b) If 2 voltage more than 1 voltage,the voltage regulator is good,and battery have problem.

1. the battory voltage is too lower,charge it is ok.

2. the battory could not be charge or loose the voltage very quickly,the battery is bad.
